It’s been a while since I posted, and while I’ve been prompted to post a few time reading great content from @Ken Hills and @Ross Bentley, my focus has been almost completely on forging a return to historic racing in an older, Italian sports and GT car. My first time out in the new car will be at Lime Rock Park’s wonderful Historic Festival 42 over Labor Day weekend.
Some notable events in the interim, such as helping lead the Vintage Racers Group (VRG) Advanced Racing School held in conjunction with their excellent Jefferson 500 historic race weekend at Summit Point Raceway, have reinvigorated my interest in studying and helping others implement “the best execution of fundamental skills.”
One of the greatest things about driving and racing on track is the constant quest to improve. No matter where you are, you can always do better.
Looking forward to all of this and to sharing best practices with all of you!
More great content found at @Terence Dove’s great Substack, as well.
Peter, love your comment re: best execution of fundamental skills. I’ve been DE and racing and teaching for over 20 years, and am constantly returning to the basics. Enjoy your return to Vintage Racing!!
